Funniest Office Moments

I just watched the promo video for our new series starting this week, "Difficult People". It's going to be awesome by the way. We all have people in our lives that just suck the life out of us....if you're reading this and you can't think of any people in your life that are that way, be careful because you may be the V.D.P. (very draining person).

Anyway...the promo video is a clip from "The Office" of Dwight and Jim discussing core workouts. It was hilarious. That clip got me thinking of some of my all time favorite Office clips, quotes, and moments. Thought I'd share....

-"Dwight vs. the computer"

-'Tweedly Dee Dee Dee' ...Andy's phone is in the ceiling

-"Michael Scott's Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Fun Run Race for the Cure, this is Pam"

-Office Olympics

-"The Dundies"

-"I am now cutting Phylis' head off with a chain saw"....."rin din din din"

Ryan: Did this happen on company property?
Michael Scott:
It was on company property, with company
property. So, double jeopardy, we're fine.

Ryan:

I don't think-- I don't think you understand how
jeopardy works.

Michael Scott:

Oh, I'm sorry. What is, 'we're fine'?

Echoing Angels back at Graystone Church!

As many of you already know, Echoing Angels will be back this week to lead us in what is sure to be an awesome time of worship. I love these guys. They are so stinkin good and yet so humble. That is a rare trait to have nowadays.

We need everyone to help us get the word out. Let's pack this place out on Sunday. Tell everyone you know....and as Heath would say, "Let's leverage technology". Put it on your status on Facebook, email your friends and family, post it on your blogs. It's going to be an awesome time of celebration....not only is EA going to be there, but we have several people getting baptized this week and I don't know if you've heard yet or not, but we raised $162,000 last week. If that doesn't get you pumped, nothing will.

Hope to see you Sunday,

Kyle
p.s. I get the privilege to play bass with Echoing Angels this Sunday....and if I'm being completely honest, I'm a little nervous. Hope I don't screw up.

I didn't realize!

Man, I didn't realize just how many message series, songs, services, crazy videos we had done until this past Sunday. What an awesome look back at what all has gone on here at Graystone Church. There were some really good memories brought up during the service. Jonathan was right....I laughed, I cried, and I worshiped. If you missed it....I hate to say it, but I told you so.

So the 5 year anniversary is over, but we're just getting warmed up here at GC. Next week is sure to be incredible. $80,000 left to give and I don't have a stinkin' clue how we're going to get it, but I'm still trusting God. What an accomplishment it is going to be when we get in to the new building. All the hard work, sacrifice, sweat, tears, stress is going to be completely worth it. I can't wait!!! This Sunday is going to be amazing...I know it!

And if that weren't enough...wait till you see what happens on Nov. 1st. The most important and exciting thing going down on Nov. 1st is all the people that will be getting baptized. AND I am in the works of having a HUGE surprise for ya that day. I'll let you know what that is when I get conformation.

So, the next two weeks....Don't miss 'em. I warned you about this past Sunday, and now I'm warning you about the next 2 Sundays. DO NOT MISS THEM. YOU WILL BE SORRY!

See ya Sunday,
Kyle

This is definitely blog worthy!

Okay, I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a long time and I'm not one to make excuses, but it has been difficult to keep my blog current lately due to a combination of things. I know what you're thinking.....Excuses are like armpits; everybody's got 'em and they all stink. Bottom line, please accept my apology.

That being said....I could not pass up the opportunity to blog about this upcoming Sunday. This Sunday is our 5 year anniversary and the service is going to be UNFORGETTABLE! No lie...you really don't want to miss this Sunday. This will be like no other service in Graystone history. Our next big anniversary will be our 10 year...so there won't be another service like this again for another 5 years.

Don't be that guy who has to hear about what an awesome service he missed on Sunday. This will also be an awesome time to invite any unchurched friends you may know.

I'll close by putting it this way.....If you can fog up a mirror, then you will love this Sunday.

Don't miss it,
Kyle (seriously, don't miss it...I'm being for real)

09.06.09 Set List

Where in the world was everybody this past Sunday. Good grief...you get one Monday off and everybody bails for the weekend. No worries though...I got to go to the lake after church to get in one final wakeboarding run before the summer is gone. That just made me a little depressed typing that...I love summertime and I don't want to see it go quite yet.

Anyway, in case you missed Sunday (and a lot of you did) here's what you missed:

Opener:
You Are (Todd Fields)

Worship Set:
Not To Us (Chris Tomlin)
Reign In Us (Starfield)
(There would have been another but I had to cut a song cause Dustin was preaching)

Offering Song:
In Christ Alone (well at least for the 2nd service...we had some technical difficulties in the 1st service)

By the way, Steve Fee has a new album out. You can't get it on iTunes until Oct. 6 but you can go to his website (feeband.com) and download it there. I definitely recommend this one. Go ahead and get acquainted with his songs because I guarantee you we will be singing them soon at Graystone.

Later Sk8ters,
Kyle

08.30.09 Set List

Another great day at Graystone Church as we wrapped up our message series "Jonah". We learned in Chapter 4 that Jonah was kind of a selfish idiot and we don't need to act like him. It really made me stop and think after hearing Jonathan say that every second there is another person who dies and spends eternity in Hell. That should light a fire in us so hot that we look like complete fools out in our community sharing the love of Jesus Christ. Let's be known as the foolish church!

So here's the set list from yesterday...

Opener:
Your Name High (Hillsong United)

Worship Set:
Let God Arise (Chris Tomlin)
Spring of Life (Kristian Stanfill)
Yahweh (Hillsong)

Offering Song:
Jesus Reigns (Todd Fields)

Next week begins "Use Me", a new message series taking us through the book of Philippians. This one is going to be unforgettable. Trust me, you do not want to miss this one.

Who is your one person?
Kyle

What happened to "Kyle and the Band"

If you've noticed something different about "Kyle and the Band" lately but can't quite put your finger on it....well today is your lucky day. I'm here to tell you all about it. Basically Graystone has a brand new band, with the exception of me.

First, let's start with the new electric guitarist. His name is Jared Lee and he hails from Lawrenceville GA. Jared and I met years ago at Hebron Baptist Church. He was once a member of Echoing Angels and has recently moved back home from the lovely state of California. He tells me that you can't get regular cheese dip in California...he says it's some kind of dip with beans it it. Gross!

Now let me draw your attention to our new bassist. You all know and love him and he's most famous for his unbelievable voice. His name is Ryan Brooks and he's probably my most valuable player. He's played everything from bass, acoustic guitar, drums, and of course his phenomenal voice.

Now for our most recent addition....and our youngest too. His name is Sam Jones and he can wail on some drums. Sam is a junior at Grayson High School and has tremendous talent on the drums. And get this....he's only been playing for 2 years! Pretty impressive huh?

Hope you enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about "Kyle and the Band". BTW, that's not our official name...we just haven't come up with anything better. Feel free to give your suggestions for a new name.

See ya Sunday,
Kyle
